We are proud to present the second album we promised. Stirred intensely together August 2007, the album exploded onto the scene 19th October 2007 at the Lion d’Or in Montreal. The 1st album was released 15th June 2005, so we’re due! And you’ll love dancing to both!
Recorded and mixed be Robert Langlois, with illustrations yet again by the wonderful Eva Rollin, and produced Mange-Ta-Main!/Outside Music, this album is titled Sur la Toit des Voisins(on the neighbours roof).
This second Opus is again inspired by Klezmer and Tzigane. But the new repertoire explores further the use of instruments less exploited such as the bass clarinet, glockenspiel, bowed bass and voice. We present five traditional tunes and eight compositions. The album will leave you spellbound with its improvisations, arrangements and animated harmonies and you’ll always by its ardour and passion.
You’ll also discover several other influences throughout Sur le Toit des Voisins. Acoustic and dynamic, you may notice traces of jazz, classical, South American, traditional Quebec and more! Virtuosic energetic musicians, and exciting an album…you’ll be dancing at first listen !
